Banquet Server Job Description
The VUE is looking for personable and hard-working Banquet Servers to join our team and help bring beautiful events to this stunning, newly renovated venue.
The Vue is a premier golf course and event space in Hamden, CT. It recently underwent an extensive renovation and is now a stunning modern space with beautiful materials and unrivaled views. The space is defined by refined elegance and is the perfect place for a wedding, corporate, or social event.
Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms and serve food and/or beverages in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards
- Set up banquet room as instructed by supervisor
- Attend pre-event meetings to learn function specifics, including guest expectations and service style details
- Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet
- Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction
- Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function
- Respond to guest special requests and resolve guest complaints
- Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Practice safe work habits
- Perform other duties as requested by management
- Work schedule varies and will include working on holidays and weekends
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 35 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
