Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards.
- Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support production needs.
- Analyze workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout for maximum efficiency.
- Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for processes, work instructions, and quality control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in equipment or appliance production.
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solidworks software and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Ability to react to manufacturing needs or modify project processes as they arise.
- Ability to manage several projects at different stages of development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the commercial cooking or foodservice equipment industry.
- Knowledge of welding, sheet metal fabrication, metal finishing processes and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with automation and robotics in manufacturing.
- Tool and Die knowledge.
