What are the responsibilities and job description for the IMMUNIZATION PH NURSE position at The Visiting Nurse Health Services?
The Visiting Nurse Association is currently seeking a detail oriented, self-motivated RN who enjoys working with the public providing immunizations for ages 6 months and older.
This exciting opportunity offers you part-time seasonal hours that will allow you to provide quality care to the community. This individual MUST be available a minimum of 2 days per week Monday-Friday. There are very limited weekend hours.
Typical duties include:
• Functioning independently with minimal supervision.
• Working independently at workplace, community and school clinic sites by providing immunizations to ages 6 months and older.
• Providing multiple immunizations at employee school clinic sites such as influenza, tdap, COVID and hepatitis.
• Obtaining accurate insurance information and/or payment.
• Screens client for age appropriateness and contraindications for each immunization.
Requirements
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Active Nebraska or other RN licensure in a compact state.
• Current Certified Basic Life Support.
• Experience giving immunizations to ages 6 months and older preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance coverage.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
