Virginia Retina Center is currently looking for a front desk receptionist with medical experience to work in our Warrenton and Culpeper, Virginia offices.
What are we looking for in a candidate?
We are looking for a motivated candidate who is dependable, and friendly to join our team. This is a fast-paced office so the right candidate will enjoy multi-tasking.
Medical office experience required, preferably minimum of 1 year.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome all patients and visitors by greeting them with a friendly demeanor.
- Data entry of patient demographics, insurance information, etc.
- Check patients in and out.
- Collect co-pays and outstanding balances.
- Scan insurance cards, IDs, and patient documents.
- Schedule appointments
- Answer phones, screen calls, take messages and return phone calls as directed.
- Post insurance and patient payments
- Contact insurance companies by phone and via written documentation.
- Assist with prior authorizations.
- Perform other related duties, as appropriate.
