ELDER LAW ATTORNEY (Experience required)

Duties

• Provide expert legal advice and strategic counsel across various practice areas including estate planning, probate, estate administration, adult guardianships, trust litigation, community based and chronic care medicaid applications.
• Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case development and client consultations.
• Draft clear, precise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and memoranda with strong attention to detail.
• Manage litigation processes from initial filing through trial preparation and trial, ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients while maintaining a focus on favorable outcomes.
• Stay current on evolving laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure all legal administrative tasks are completed efficiently.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in New York.
• Proven experience practicing law in at least several of the following areas: estate planning, probate, estate administration, adult guardianships, trust litigation, community based and chronic care medicaid applications.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to produce well-structured legal documents under tight deadlines.
• Excellent negotiation skills capable of securing favorable client outcomes through effective advocacy.
• Legal administrative experience including managing case files and documentation efficiently.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues critically and develop strategic solutions.
