Role: Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for a travel assignment in a healthcare facility.
Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive obstetric patient care, including assessing maternal and fetal health, administering treatments, assisting with labor and delivery, performing postpartum care, educating families, and collaborating with healthcare teams. Respond to obstetric emergencies, interpret fetal monitoring, assist in procedures like cesarean sections, document care, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills: Must have at least one year of recent L&D RN experience, valid RN license, current BLS and NRP certifications. Preferred certifications include Fetal Monitoring, STABLE, and ACLS. Key skills include critical thinking, excellent communication, physical ability to move equipment, and effective teamwork. Must meet sensory, motor, and mental requirements for patient safety and care.
Key Duties: Communicate procedures, administer medications, prepare equipment, provide postpartum education, respond to emergencies, document assessments, and ensure compliance with standards. Additional duties within scope of obstetric nursing may be assigned.
