Role Overview: The travel nurse RN CVICU provides specialized care for adult and geriatric patients in a cardiovascular intensive care unit.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver advanced cardiac and critical patient management, including arterial line and central line care, ventilator support, ECMO, IABP, ventricular assist devices, stroke management, and post-cardiac surgery care. Float to similar units may be required, with brief orientation provided.
Qualifications & Skills: Valid ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications; at least 2 years ICU experience with cardiovascular patient care; current state licensure. Proficiency in blood product administration, infection prevention, arterial blood gases, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and managing multisystem organ failure is essential.
Work Details: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours weekly. The position is located 50 miles from the local area.
