- Admitting patients to the preoperative unit, preparing them physically for surgery, reviewing charts, and explaining procedures.
- Providing professional nursing care during the immediate postoperative period.
- Assessing patients' physical and psychological needs.
- Implementing measures to ensure safe recovery from anesthesia.
- Preparing patients for discharge and ensuring safe transfer from the center.
- Serving as a patient advocate across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Nursing License in the state.
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
- ACLS certification; PALS preferred for primary PACU nurses.
- Experience of two years is preferred.
