Part-Time Clinical Laboratory Assistant

Role Overview: This position supports technical lab staff by assisting with the collection, receipt, and processing of biological specimens, preparing samples for testing, and performing waived or limited moderate complexity testing in compliance with CLIA standards. It reports to department leadership and follows established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with specimen handling and processing
• Perform basic testing as approved and qualified
• Adhere to safety protocols due to exposure risks
• Maintain accurate documentation and sample integrity
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy/CLA certification required
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull up to 75 pounds
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency and manual dexterity
• Must demonstrate responsibility and excellent customer service
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical lab experience or laboratory assistant training
• Knowledge of specimen handling and medical terminology
• Additional relevant education or experience
