Role Overview: The Occupational Therapist provides diagnostic evaluations and develops treatment plans to enhance patients' functional abilities, enabling them to maximize independence within their community.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations, administer therapy, and design individualized treatment programs using therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and equipment.
- Design and fabricate splints, slings, and adaptive devices per prescriptions.
- Provide therapy for neurological, traumatic brain injury, and developmental patients, including prevention and pre-vocational programs.
- Perform home assessments, instruct patients and families on self-care, energy conservation, and proper transfer techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient records and participate in team support groups.
- Ensure compliance with safety, privacy, and community policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy and current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Preferred one year of experience, strong leadership, customer service skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and adaptive tools.
- Ability to make independent decisions, evaluate social situations, and work effectively with residents and team members.
