What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deck Project Coordinator position at The Vinyl Outlet?
Deck Project Coordinator– The Vinyl Outlet / Buffalo, NY “Juggling schedules, spreadsheets, and mild panic - but professionally”
Are you the kind of person who can juggle a calendar, answer a call, and spot a crooked post from a mile away? Good — because The Vinyl Outlet is looking for a Deck Project Coordinator who’s ready to help us build better backyards (and maybe tell a few dad jokes along the way).
Project Planning & Coordination:
- Sketch out basic plans and double-check measurements (your ruler is your sidekick).
- Work with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep projects smooth and stress-free.
- Make sure all the i’s are dotted, the t’s are crossed, and the photos are uploaded to the project file.
- Keep the crew on track, on time, and not building upside down.
- Keep things smooth by tackling the bumps early
- Keep the build quality up to our standards — and we’ve got high ones.
- Be the friendly face (or voice) our clients hear before the sawdust starts flying.
- Keep everyone in the loop so there are no surprises.
- Calm nerves, answer questions, and make homeowners feel like VIPs.
- Help make sure everyone goes home with the same number of fingers they showed up with.
What We’re Looking For:
- Some knowledge of construction, fence, or deck building — bonus if you’ve built one yourself!
- Knowledge on blueprints, city permits, and codes
- Mad organizational skills (color-coded calendars, anyone?)
- You’re a great communicator and problem-solver who doesn’t lose their cool.
- Comfortable using project management software (or willing to learn it).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites
- You don’t have to be a superhero, but being able to lift a tape measure helps.
Why You’ll Love Working Here:
- $52,000 per year bonus opportunities
- Full benefits (health, dental, vision — all that grown-up stuff)
- A fun, supportive team that actually likes working together
- A role that keeps you moving, thinking, and never bored
- Your ideas are welcome here — we’re always looking to improve
