Duties
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly smile and provide attentive seating assistance as a host/host when needed
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage multiple tables with excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy hours
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive guest relations
- Support sanitation practices by following proper food handling procedures and ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with team members to create a seamless dining experience in both fine dining settings and lively nightclub atmospheres
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant roles, preferably with fine dining or nightclub environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent communication skills for effective guest interactions and teamwork
- Ability to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
- Previous host/host or serving experience is beneficial for providing top-tier guest relations
