Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for building user-friendly email templates and campaigns using dynamic content segments in support of The Villages Marketing Department’s goals and initiatives. This role guides and implements the methodologies needed to create and sustain an unforgettable and successful email marketing experience. This position helps create email marketing strategies, helping to continually enhance The Villages’ relationship-building and marketing endeavors. Duties include but are not limited to writing and proofreading email copy, testing templates across devices, optimizing performance using analytics, managing, and growing subscriber lists, performing list segmentation along with other related duties and tasks. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
- Create a consistent digital/email marketing experience attuned with The Villages brand and culture.
- Build user-friendly email templates and campaigns using dynamic content segments.
- Perform list segmentation and create triggered email campaigns.
- Test email templates across devices and email clients.
- Optimize performance using A/B and Champion/Challenger testing plans.
- Accurately manage, retain, and grow our subscriber list.
- Create campaign reports and analyze performance trends against benchmarks.
- Assist leadership team in email vendor relationship management and training.
- Ensure output aligns with company policies and industry best practices.
- Identify and escalate issues in a solution-oriented manner when applicable.
- Analyze effectiveness; make recommendations for improvements.
- Identify and implement best practices and explore new methodologies in email marketing to meet the company’s objectives for customer engagement, sales and brand insistence and loyalty.
- Utilize office computer and office equipment (copier, fax, etc.) along with a host of other software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, MAC applications, end-to-end mass email marketing platforms like Sailthru, Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact, MailChimp, CRM solutions like Lasso, Salesforce, Hubspot, Monday, etc.
- Attend special meetings, educational sessions and assist leadership in ongoing training of team members as asked Assist the Marketing Team in their overall initiatives as requested.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four (4) year college or technical school and three (3) years digital marketing experience focused on email marketing; or seven (7) years equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or related fields preferred.
- Must be proficient in a host of software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, MAC applications, end-to-end mass email marketing platforms like Sailthru, Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact, MailChimp.
- Experience using CRM solutions like Lasso, Salesforce, Hubspot, Monday and HTML preferred.
- This position requires strong analytical and project management skills, enthusiasm for The Villages and all it has to offer, and demonstrable knowledge in email marketing that includes critical thinking and creative problem solving.
- Must be able to communicate confidently and effectively, in writing and electronically.
- Time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines required.
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work independently in a team-oriented atmosphere.
