Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for developing and optimizing server-side logic, maintaining database integrity, and ensuring the application’s performance, responsiveness, and scalability. In addition, this role also collaborates closely with front end developers and other team members to deliver a seamless and efficient user experience. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product owners to gather requirements and fully understand their vision.
- Design and implement reliable and efficient Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
- Troubleshoot, debug, and perform root cause analysis to optimize application performance.
- Work with databases such as MongoDB and Firestore, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and maintenance.
- Lead efforts to enhance application speed, efficiency, and overall compatibility.
- Drive product innovation by incorporating the latest technologies.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code in adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with front end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
- Commit to ongoing personal and professional development.

Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four (4) year college or technical school; or four (4) to six (6) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Extensive experience in building efficient and scalable web APIs.
- In-depth experience with RESTful service implementation and web services.
- Skilled in using version control systems and code repositories.
- Familiar with leveraging microservices architecture concepts to design scalable and maintainable systems.
- Time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Problem solving skills and detail oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
