DESCRIPTION:
The Villages Charter School is accepting applications for an Elementary Vice-Principal for the 2026-2027 School year. This position will be located on the Middleton Campus.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
To assist the Principal with all administrative and instructional functions to meet the educational needs of the students and carry out the mission and goals of The Villages Charter School and the District.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Vice-Principal expectations are:
- Responsible for assisting the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the school
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Supervises students in attendance at assemblies and athletic events
- Updates and enforces student code of conduct and student handbook.
- Plans and supervises student programs.
- Gives individual and group guidance for personal problems, educational and social activities with all stakeholders.
- Talks with and disciplines students in cases of attendance, academic and behavior problems.
- Walks around school building and property to monitor safety and security directs and coordinates teacher supervision of areas such as halls and cafeteria
- Works with administrators to coordinate and supervise student teacher program.
- Organizes and administers in-service teacher training and addresses recertification and acquisition of MIP points.
- Assists in the scheduling process for students.
- Assist with the standardized testing.
- Assists in the ordering and/or maintaining of textbooks, facilities, school websites and computers.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by the principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited educational institute.
- Eligible for Education Leadership Certificate.
- Three years successful experience as a classroom teacher.

Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
216 days – Exempt. Benefits shall be paid consistent with the VCS policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment are those established by the Board.
