Company Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate vet technician/vet assistant to join our team. This role is vital in supporting high-quality veterinary care in a fast-paced clinical setting. Role Description
- Prepare surgical suites with proper instruments, supplies, and sterile equipment
- Assist veterinarians during surgeries, including monitoring anesthesia and vital signs
- Induce and monitor anesthesia under veterinary supervision
- Prepare patients for surgery (e.g., shaving, scrubbing, intubation)
- Communicate effectively with the veterinary team regarding patient care and progress
- Assist with client education regarding post-operative instructions when needed
- Care for hospitalized patients
- Assist with urgent care appointments
- Assist with Technician appointments
- Ability to effectively communicate and educate clients
Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred
- Ability to lift animals and equipment (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods
- Team player with exceptional client service and communication skills, attention to detail with a positive and compassionate attitude
- Compassionate and calm under pressure, especially in emergency situations
- Previous experience in veterinary clinics or hospitals is a plus
