Love being at the ball diamond, the football field, or trackside on a Friday night? We're looking for a part-time community and high school sports photographer to cover Williams County, Ohio (Montpelier, Bryan, West Unity, Stryker, Pioneer, Edgerton, and surrounding communities).

A note on what this role is: this is a part-time, supplemental-income position with a small, family-owned community newspaper. Your photos appear in print, on our website, and in homes across the county. This isn't a full-time photography career -- it's a steady part-time role for someone who values their community as much as their camera.
Camera gear: this role comes with our best camera equipment -- not shared, not borrowed for the night, yours to work with. (You're also welcome to use your own gear.)
The Details:
- $13/hour to start, with advancement after the probationary period
- In season, 5-6 events and roughly 9-14 hours a week; most football and volleyball nights run 1.5-2 hours, preseason media days and golf run longer
- Mileage has been running 75-85 miles a week, reimbursed
- Heaviest August through winter tournaments; summer is light
- Most editing and uploading done from home
- Additional opportunities for candidates with strong writing skills
Ideal Candidate:
- Genuinely enjoys being at local games and community events
- Owns reliable photography equipment (or willing to use ours)
- Can take crisp, in-focus, non-blurry photos
- Reliable and on time -- events run on a fixed clock
- Lives in or near Williams County with reliable transportation
