The Village Reporter is seeking a part-time Community News Correspondent to cover local news in Archbold, Pettisville, and Wauseon, Ohio.
Position: Part-Time Community News Correspondent
Location: Must live in or very near Archbold, Pettisville, or Wauseon
Schedule: A handful of assignments per month, 2–4 hours per assignment
Compensation: Pay based on experience, with quick room for advancement
Responsibilities:
- Attend local events such as council and school board meetings, festivals, and ribbon cuttings
- Write clear, accurate summaries of what took place
- Submit stories from home after events
Requirements:
- Must live in the Archbold/Pettisville/Wauseon area
- Must have strong writing capabilities
- Reliable transportation to local events
- Prior journalism experience not required — we will train
