Must be able to manage multiple calls in sequence; Must have the
ability to operate moderately sophisticated office equipment including,
but not limited to, the Village's switchboard, personal computers,
printers, calculators, etc.; Must be fluent in English; Bilingual skills
helpful, but not required.

JOB PURPOSE
Under general supen/ision, this position is responsible for directing aif caiis coming through
the Village's switchboard to appropriate departments and individuals. Aiso assists Viiiage
Clerk's office with various clerical tasks.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
The duties performed by this position are representative of sedentary work with occasiona!
exertion of 10 pounds of force to move boxes of fiies or insurance booklets. The work is
regularly in an indoor environment, in an office setting that is quiet except for office equipment
background noises. Subject to frequent interruptions by telephone callers and walk-in visitors.
While performing the duties of this position, the empfoyee is constantly required to sit, talk,
listen, hear the normal range of sounds, read written reports, use hands to operate essential
office equipment including computer/typewriter keyboard, teiephone, etc. Visual acuity is
important. The employee is frequently required to stand and periodicaliy move to other
locations within the building.
Salary : $26 - $34
