Responsibilities
- Provide a visible law enforcement presence within the school campus to deter misconduct and ensure safety.
- Ensure safety and wellbeing of students and adults on campus.
- Develop strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members to promote trust and open communication.
- Monitor traffic conditions and enforce parking regulations to promote safe and efficient flow.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents, including conflicts, injuries, or security breaches.
- Conduct surveillance activities to monitor campus areas for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of school buildings and grounds to maintain safety and security.
- Assist in enforcing school policies and local laws while respecting students’ rights and fostering a positive environment.
- Provide security at special events.
Skills
- Proficiency in report writing with clear documentation of incidents and investigations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff through regular engagement.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively.
- Serve as a visible resource by offering assistance and information to the school community.
- Successful Candidate will complete The Village of Mantua's Police Department Field Training Program
- At least 2 years experience as a patrol officer
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
