POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Clinical Supervisor will play a vital role in supporting the Training Department to ensure an effective clinical internship program by coordinating logistics, managing resources, and supporting the development and delivery of intern training, while also tracking and evaluating training outcomes. This role assists the Director of Training in the overall functioning, coordination, and development of the Clinical Internship Program. The Clinical Supervisor provides individual and group supervision to Counseling Services primarily to MSW interns, MFT Trainees, and undergraduate BSW students across all departments within our agency. This supervisor position requires a well-organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent time management skills, and the ability to master different administrative & clinical tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The position requires an individual extremely motivated to succeed with excellent written, verbal communication skills & clinical insight. This position requires an individual able to effectively work independently with minimal direction or in a multidisciplinary team environment; proactively perform and anticipate administrative and clinical needs; able to maintain company and customer confidentiality; and practice corporate and personal integrity on the highest level.
This position will receive on-the-job coaching to enhance the agency's ethos and support the clinical functions of the Training Department. This department includes our internship program, internal training across departments, and external presentations/events to the public. This role assists with outreach, referrals, registration, screenings, reminders, scheduling, documentation and other duties to support the onboarding of interns, support groups, and webinars/community events.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- LCSW for at least 2 years
- Must possess a valid California driver's license
- Ability/experience in crisis counseling and long-term counseling
- Supervisory skills and ability to work with both paraprofessionals and clinical staff/volunteers/interns
- Must have completed or attend to complete Social Welfare Field Instructor Certification
- Willingness to expand on public speaking skills to deliver engaging and informative presentations
- Ability to clearly convey information to diverse audiences
- Self-directed and effective in problem solving and managing multiple demands and objectives
- Good organizational and communication skills as well as time management
- Competency to identify and address training needs and challenges for interns to find solutions
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite, presentation software, and other relevant software
- Ability to operate media equipment such as projectors and personal computers
- Exceptional leadership skills and ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with trainers, trainees, and other stakeholders

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
All of the responsibilities listed below are considered essential functions of this position. Additionally, this position is expected to ensure adherence to the core operating values and the strategic direction of the agency.
Clinical Interns
- Provide weekly 1:1 clinical supervision (1 hour) to clinical interns and respond to crises that may arise
- Facilitate group supervision (2 hours) on a weekly basis
- Complete paperwork as required by the Universities/Colleges and professional Boards such as the Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Function as a Field Instructor and/or supervisor for the interns/trainees
- Support with networking and outreach with universities to increase the number of intern applications we receive and strengthen and maintain excellent relationships with master's programs
- Participate in the recruitment process by conducting interviews and screening student applicants
- Work closely with the Training Support Coordinator to track applications of students interested in interning with our agency, schedule interviews, ensure smooth onboarding process of interns, schedule intern weekly planning meetings, trainings, etc.,
- Review Counseling Intakes, progress notes, and monitor all documentation of supervised interns
Support Groups & Trainings
- Conduct outreach within agency, outside of agency and within the community to present on group programs offered at the agency
- Serve as a liaison within departments to recruit internally and externally for group clients
- Coordinate with the admissions department to prioritize assigning to interns prospective clients who qualify for groups
- Assign interns to groups they will co-facilitate based on their schedule availability
- Facilitate weekly planning meetings for the support groups
- Work closely with the Director of Training to plan, organize, and coordinate training programs, events, and logistics, and track and report on training outcomes
- Support with the development of training aids such as manuals and handbooks
- As directed develop, deliver, and coordinate relevant trainings to support intern growth and ongoing knowledge
Other Functions
- Ability to approve progress notes in a timely manner

- Arrange work schedule or required hours to the benefit of the program
- Perform other assigned duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the agency
