Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
Duties
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all equipment is functioning properly.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, helping with catering or banquet setups.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth workflow during busy service periods.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others as needed.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
