Responsibilities
- Physical Science Standard Certificate, CEAS or CE REQUIRED
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with science curriculum standards.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a conducive classroom environment.
- Teach subjects such as STEM, adapting instruction to meet diverse student needs.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and share resources.
- Provide tutoring support for students needing additional assistance in specific subject areas.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
- Support special education initiatives by adapting lessons for students with varying abilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced degrees are preferred.
- Experience in higher education teaching is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in lesson planning and SCIENCE curriculum development.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom dynamics.
- Familiarity with hands-on laboratory practices.
- Experience working with special education students is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
