Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements as a host or hostess, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
• Take orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and process transactions efficiently with cash handling and basic math skills
• Provide attentive table service, upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations and upselling strategies
• Support food preparation, food handling, and sanitation standards to maintain cleanliness and safety in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff with food prep or basic kitchen tasks when needed
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving concerns professionally, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, specials, and restaurant policies to provide accurate information to guests

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles such as server, host/hostess, busser, or bartender is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency but training will be provided
• Experience in fine dining environments or nightclubs is a plus for those seeking to elevate their hospitality skills
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or tasks simultaneously during busy periods
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Basic math proficiency for cash handling and billing accuracy
