RN Unit Manager – Full Time, DaysThe Villa at Marymount – Garfield Heights, OhioRole OverviewThe RN Unit Manager provides daily clinical leadership for an assigned nursing unit, ensuring highquality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong team coordination. This role blends handson nursing with supervisory responsibilities, making it ideal for an RN who excels in organization, communication, and team development.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily clinical operations of the assigned unit, ensuring safe, timely, and personcentered care.Supervise and support LPNs, STNAs, and other unit staff, providing coaching, delegation, and performance feedback.Conduct daily rounds to monitor resident status, documentation accuracy, and care plan implementation.Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address changes in condition, care plan updates, and resident/family concerns.Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility policies, including infection control, documentation standards, and quality measures.Participate in admissions, discharges, and transitions of care to ensure smooth coordination and accurate clinical handoffs.Review and validate clinical documentation, medication administration, and treatment orders for accuracy and timeliness.Assist with staffing coordination, scheduling needs, and maintaining appropriate coverage on the unit.Support survey readiness and participate in quality improvement initiatives.Serve as a clinical resource and role model for professionalism, teamwork, and resident advocacy.QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio (required).Prior experience in longterm care or skilled nursing (strongly preferred).Previous leadership or charge nurse experience is helpful but not required for strong candidates.Strong assessment, criticalthinking, and communication skills.Ability to lead and motivate a diverse clinical team.Proficiency with electronic health records (PointClickCare or similar preferred).
