Position Title: Commons Area Housekeeper
Overview: The Commons Area Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the common areas. This includes daily cleaning tasks in common areas, such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces. The individual in this role plays a crucial part in creating a welcoming and sanitary environment for residents, guests, and associates. Reports to Maintenance Manager.
Shift Available:
Essential Job Functions:
- Regular attendance
- Requires cleaning and dusting of various surfaces (counter tops, furniture, appliances, tile floors, etc)
- Assist in setting up and cleaning common areas for special events or gatherings.
- Clean, scrub, and sanitize bathrooms
- Gather and dispose of trash using specified bags and / or containers
- Responsible for keeping storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and organized
- Vacuuming of carpeting in apartments and assigned common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and resident laundry areas
- Changes resident bed and bath linens according to assigned cleaning schedule
- All housekeepers MUST greet resident(s) and announce their presence prior to entering room
- Maintain clean and professional appearance
You Have:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred, may be working towards high school diploma or equivalent
- Two-years cleaning / housekeeping experience preferred
