Job Title: Lead Infant Teacher

About Us: Mountain Sprouts Academy is a vibrant Reggio Emilia inspired childcare center, serving the children of Copper Mountain employees with priority spots given to employees that work for a business located within Copper Mountain Resort, including resort employees along with independent merchant employees. If availability, spots are offered to Copper Mountain Homeowners and residents of Summit and Lake Counties.

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, experienced and qualified Lead Infant Teacher to join our team. As a lead teacher you will play a pivotal role in creating a stimulating and inspiring educational experience for children while fostering strong relationships with parents and collaborating with fellow educators. At Mountain Sprouts Academy, our philosophy is rooted in the belief that children are active participants in their own learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead a team of infant educators with inspiration and collaboration.

· Foster a nurturing, respectful, and responsive environment for infants and maintain a rich, inviting, and organized learning environment that reflects the Reggio Emilia philosophy, using natural materials and documentation of children's work.

· Design and support emergent, play-based curriculum in alignment with Reggio Emilia practices.

· Maintain strong, open communication with families, including daily updates and regular conferences so as to include and involve families in their child's learning journey.

· Ensure the infant classroom meets all health, safety, and licensing regulations.

· Observe and document children's learning and development, adjusting the curriculum to meet individual and group needs.

· Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to create a supportive and cohesive team environment that values each child's unique abilities and maintain program excellence.

· Support professional development and reflective practice within the infant team.

Qualifications:

· A bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field.

· Infant Nursery Supervisor qualifications through Colorado's PDIS system.

· At least 2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting.

· Strong understanding of Reggio Emilia principles and a commitment to relationship-based care.

· Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

· Current Pediatric First Aid/CPR, Universal Precautions, and other required trainings (or willingness to complete upon hire).
