What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician - HealthCare Center position at The Village Active Life Plan Community?
Overview:
Responsible for general maintenance/preventative maintenance of the healthcare center including but not limited to; plumbing, electrical, telephone, cable, and lighting. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work in accordance with the needs of the facility and residents.
Reports to:
- Director of Maintenance
- HealthCare Center Administrator
Qualifications and Job Skills:
Must have 2 years experience working in a skilled nursing or hospital setting as a maintenance technician. Must have knowledge of Title 22, Life and Safety Codes and OSHPD. Experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, telephone, cable and lighting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Excellent communication skills
- Complete monthly/quarterly/yearly check of systems as required by Life and Safety Codes, OSHPD etc.
- General plumbing including drain cleaning, maintenance and repair
- Electrical repair and maintenance
- Telephone and cable repair and maintenance
- Drywall repair and painting
- Preventative maintenance on all equipment
- Assess and diagnose faults on complex building equipment
- Organize daily work around identified demands and priorities and communicate work schedule with Administrator
- Provide a well maintained, clean, physically safe, accessible and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors
