Pay-Scale $29.00-$30.00 Per Hour Based on Experience / Part Time (2) Days Per-Week
The Nurse in Wellness Center assists the Resident Services Director in the wellness and healthcare needs of the residents and employees.
Part Time- Position available (2 Days Per Week)
Education:
Current Licensed Vocational Nurse in California. Current CPR card.
Experience:
Experience working with elderly population in acute care, skilled nursing or home health setting. Knowledge of medications, including side effects and contraindications.
Skills:
Possess superior clinical skills to make sound, accurate assessments and decisions. Must be self-directed. Able to respond calmly and appropriately in emergency situations. Good verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, coordinate and administer resident medications as needed.
- Apartment visits for ill, injured, anxious and depresses residents.
- Daily phone and/or room checks for residents who do not check-in.
- Respond to all Red Alerts and emergencies.
- Run daily clinic for minor medical problems, BP checks and dressing changes.
- Assists with resident transfers to and from the HCC as needed.
- Evaluate ill residents and plan appropriate care, including doctor calls and appointments, ordering medication refills and arranging caregivers.
- Communication and documentation of resident healthcare and psychosocial issues.
- Carry out physician orders as requested within scope of practice.
- Assess residents for Services For You program as needed.
- Complete incident reports and Red Alert forms.
