Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, organization, and execution of diverse recreational programs tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure activities are inclusive and accessible for all residents.
- Assess residents’ needs and preferences to create personalized activity plans.
- Maintain participation logs for programs
- Foster relationships with residents and their families to encourage participation and feedback.
- Coordinate special events, outings, and community engagement activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all recreational activities.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and program evaluation.
- Participate in educational programs and in-services as mandated
- Understands and follows universal precautions an MSDS books
- Previous experience in a recreational or therapeutic setting, preferably in long-term care.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for working with seniors and enhancing their quality of life.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to recreational activities.
