What you’ll tackle
- Keep automated assembly systems and CNC machining centers running by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment.
- Teach pendant handling, programming, and troubleshooting for Fanuc robots.
- Use schematic diagrams to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits.
- Research and resolve issues using machine tool manuals, technical documents, and vendor/internal resources.
- Execute preventive maintenance in accordance with schedules and procedures.
- Document all work in maintenance reports and logs.
- Follow safety rules, use required PPE, and communicate hazards promptly.
- Pitch in on related assignments as needed to support production.
Manufacturing support you’ll provide
- Assemble and machine metal products—especially sprinkler frames—partially or completely.
- Test assembled sprinkler frames, including inspection and packaging.
- Operate within a cell-based environment on the shop floor.
Must-haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Eight (8) years of experience in machine build, service, and/or maintenance.
- Journeyman Machine Repair, or eight (8) years of practical experience proven by affidavit.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic components (motors, ball screws, spindle heads, gearboxes, pumps, cylinders, hoses).
- Deep knowledge of manual machine tools (manual mill, lathe, surface grinder, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; decisive and timely solution implementation.
- Fluency in reading and interpreting drawings and schematics.
- Clear technical communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role.
- Flexibility for overtime and occasional weekends.
- Consistent, reliable attendance and positive work ethic.
