What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at The Views Senior Living?
The Views of Cedar Rapids invites experienced cooks to apply for our part-time position. We are an assisted living and memory care facility dedicated to providing the highest quality of kind and compassionate care. The ideal candidate is reliable, works cooperatively with other staff in all departments, leads by example, and takes pride in his or her work.
Some of the required job tasks for our cooks include:
- Handle and prepare food according to food code guidelines
- Perform simple arithmetic and units of measurement conversions used in food preparation
- Prepare delicious food that is aesthetically appetizing
- Follow recipes and special diets including therapeutic and altered textures
- Responsible for avoiding food waste
- Complete documentation of important data for food safety
