About The Videre Estate
The Videre Estate is a luxury wedding venue on over 400 acres of Texas Hill Country just south of Austin, featuring an 8-acre private lake, stunning ceremony spaces, and on-site lodging for our couples and their guests. We host weddings and events most weekends and pride ourselves on warm, attentive hospitality and smooth, well-run event days.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Venue Manager to join our small, tight-knit team. This person will be a friendly, organized, “wear many hats” type who loves weddings, hospitality, and helping people feel taken care of. The role includes working weddings, giving tours, and potentially serving as the primary wedding coordinator for some of our booked couples, along with a variety of marketing and administrative tasks.
This is a weekend-focused, hourly role with additional weekday hours as needed for tours, meetings, and office work.
Typical Schedule & Work-Life Balance
- Typical work week is Wednesday through Sunday
- Mondays and Tuesdays are normally off
- Occasionally, something critical and time-sensitive (such as responding to an important client email) may come up on an off day
- Our goal is for our team to be able to truly shut off when they are not working – we value boundaries and try to keep work within scheduled hours as much as possible
Key Responsibilities
Event & Venue Management
- Serve as the on-site Venue Manager during weddings and events
- Open and close the venue, ensure spaces are clean, set, and guest-ready
- Oversee event timelines and coordinate with couples, coordinators, and vendors
- Monitor bar service, catering, and venue policies during events
- Troubleshoot on the fly and calmly handle any issues that arise
- Support setup and light breakdown tasks, including moving chairs/tables as needed
Client Experience & Coordination
- Give friendly, informative venue tours to prospective couples and families
- Communicate clearly with booked couples leading up to their wedding day
- Potentially act as the wedding coordinator for select couples, including:
- Timeline review and confirmation
- Final walkthroughs and details meetings
- Day-of coordination at the venue
- Answer questions by email, phone, and text in a timely, professional way
Marketing & Admin Support
- Assist with social media content creation (photos, videos, behind-the-scenes)
- Help gather and organize content from photographers and vendors
- Support basic marketing tasks such as uploading photos, updating listings, etc.
- Light office tasks such as updating checklists, inventories, and spreadsheets
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- Venue management
- Wedding or event coordination
- Hospitality (hotel, restaurant, catering, etc.)
- Wedding planning or production
- Excellent people skills – warm, calm, and confident with guests, couples, and vendors
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and priorities during fast-paced events
- Able to stay composed and solution-oriented under pressure
- Reliable, on time, and confident working independently once trained
- Comfortable using basic tech tools (Google Drive, email, spreadsheets; bonus if familiar with Canva, social media, or CRM platforms)
Schedule & Requirements
- Must be available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday), including late nights or early mornings depending on the shift
- Typical core schedule is Wednesday–Sunday, with Mondays and Tuesdays off
- Must have reliable transportation to and from The Videre Estate in Wimberley, TX
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 30–40 lbs as needed
- TABC and/or Food Handler certifications are a plus, or willing to obtain after hiring
