The Victor School is a Massachusetts Approved Private Special Education Day School Program serving
students between 6th - 12th grade. Located in Acton MA, the school serves students with average to superior cognitive abilities with social emotional disabilities. Our student’s learning is often complicated by social, emotional, or specific learning challenges.
The Victor School is fully approved by DESE. The Victor School team works closely and collaboratively with families, students, and school systems to provide each student with challenging, college preparatory academics in a safe, nurturing environment. Our school serves students between 6th - 12th grade within a 12 month school year operating from July - June.
Schedule: You will work the school schedule which includes all vacations offs, as well as the time you accrue - an additional 10 days a year.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $60,000 to $68,000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
What You'll Do:
Work closely with an Academic Adviser and full Clinical team.
Ensure students are moving towards the goals in the IEP's.
Complete daily check-ins with students, family meetings and coordination with collaterals, conducting groups and clubs, and case management while assisting students in overcoming obstacles to being successful in school.
Manage a caseload of 10 -12 students to help them discover what makes them feel competent and valued by working with them to develop life skills.

Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field from an accredited college or university.
Clinical licensure (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC) preferred. Ability to sit for clinical licensure required.
Experience working with adolescents with mental health needs, and with Autism preferred.
Experience working with family therapy and collaborating with families and outpatient teams for treatment planning preferred.
Understanding of the range of presentations, interventions and treatment required by adolescents with emotional disabilities, psychiatric symptoms, histories of traumas, and learning challenges is essential.
Knowledge of IEP implementation, special education rights preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work with DBT, CBT, CPS (Ross Greene) and Solution Based Therapies preferred.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast paced, collaborative, creative, and flexible environment.
Candidates must have strong communication, organizational, and written skills for interacting with students, staff, professionals, families, communities and collaterals at large.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a history of being flexible, creative and collaborative in a fast paced environment.
