Precision Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery is seeking an experienced, motivated veterinary technician with a strong interest and proficiency in anesthesia to join our growing specialty practice.
We are a fast-paced, high-level surgical environment dedicated to providing advanced dental and oral surgical care for dogs and cats. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely alongside both a board certified veterinary dentist and a board certified anesthesiologist in a specialty hospital, providing an exceptional level of patient care and exposure to advanced anesthetic techniques.
Qualities
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT)
- Proficiency and confidence in anesthetic monitoring and management
- Ability to anticipate patient and procedural needs in a surgical setting
- Strong technical skills with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency
- An outgoing, personable attitude with excellent communication skills
- A team player who enjoys a fast-paced workflow and staying engaged throughout the day
- A desire to continually learn and improve within a specialty dental practice
Responsibilities
- Induction, monitoring, and recovery of anesthesia for dental and oral surgery procedures
- Work directly with a board-certified anesthesiologist to execute advanced anesthetic protocols
- Placement of IV catheters, intubation, and anesthetic protocol execution
- Dental cleanings, radiography, and assistance with advanced procedures
- Patient preparation, surgical assistance, and post-operative care for advanced oral surgeries
- Client communication and education when appropriate
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient surgical environment
