Summary: The front office team member(s) serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a welcoming, professional, and efficient experience. The Front Desk Staff ensures smooth daily operations, supports the healthcare team, and upholds the clinic's standards for patient service and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Responsibilities: Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner. - Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations. - Handle patient check-in and check-out, including collection of payments and insurance information. - Answer and route phone calls, emails, and other communications. - Maintain accurate patient records in EMR or clinic systems. - Assist with billing, coding, and insurance verification as needed. - Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming
Team and Professional Responsibilities: Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth workflow. - Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. - Support the implementation of clinic policies and procedures. - Maintain confidentiality of patient and clinic information in accordance with HIPAA and other applicable laws.
