PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Essential Job Responsibilities

- Maintain The Vered’s high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization
- Prepare and execute all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and special events with strong attention to quality and presentation
- Perform high-volume cook-to-order and batch cooking with speed, accuracy, and consistency
- Ensure compliance with all dietary guidelines, modified diets, and regulatory requirements
- Support dining service as needed, including plating, serving, and dishwashing
- Engage with residents to gather feedback and enhance the dining experience
- Follow all health, safety, and HIPAA regulations
- Work collaboratively with team members and contribute to continuous improvement of culinary operations
- Complete tasks efficiently and participate in trainings and meetings as required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 year of cooking experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or senior living setting preferred
- Experience with high-volume and cook-to-order service preferred
- Current Food Handler’s Card (or ability to obtain)
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
- Basic computer skills preferred
