Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist)

Affiliated Clinician Position

At The Ventus Center, we believe the best client care comes from clinicians who feel supported, trusted, and valued.

We’re a rapidly growing group practice designed to help affiliated clinicians build sustainable, fulfilling private practices while maintaining the autonomy and flexibility that drew many of us to this profession in the first place.

The Ventus Center is entering an exciting period of growth. We anticipate increasing our clinical team by approximately 50% over the next six months and are planning to open a second location in early 2027. We’re seeking clinicians who are excited about joining a practice that is still small enough to shape, yet growing quickly enough to create new opportunities.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking two fully licensed affiliated clinicians to join our team beginning in August or September 2026:

  • One clinician providing in-person services from our downtown Jacksonville office (with the option to also provide telehealth services)
  • One clinician providing services entirely via telehealth

These positions are ideal for clinicians who want the support, resources, and collegiality of a group practice while building a private practice that reflects their own professional interests, expertise, and identity.

As we continue to grow to meet the needs of Jacksonville and the surrounding communities, we value the perspectives and experiences that help us better serve a broad range of clients. We welcome applicants with diverse clinical interests, training backgrounds, areas of expertise, and lived experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and/or families within your areas of training and interest
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans as needed
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with colleagues through optional consultation and professional development opportunities
  • Build and maintain a caseload aligned with your professional goals and preferred schedule
  • Practice with a high degree of autonomy while contributing to a supportive clinical community

What We Offer

  • 70/30 fee split
  • Profit-sharing opportunities
  • Professional development funding
  • Reimbursement for licensing fees
  • Reimbursement for a Psychology Today profile
  • Monthly case consultation meetings
  • Access to free CEs
  • Lunch stipends for both in-person and virtual clinicians
  • Opportunities for sponsored conference attendance
  • Access to major insurance panels
  • Support in developing your professional reputation and clinical niche
  • Modern, welcoming office space for in-person clinicians
  • Flexible scheduling
  • No non-compete agreements

What You Bring

  • Active, unrestricted Florida licensure as an LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in a behavioral health discipline
  • Clinical experience providing psychotherapy in outpatient settings (including internship and practicum experience)
  • Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and ethical decision-making
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative practice environment
  • A clear area of clinical interest, specialization, or developing expertise that you are excited to continue building
  • Patience for the process of building a private practice and enthusiasm for developing your clinical identity, reputation, and expertise over time

Especially Exciting to Us

  • Advanced training, certification, or specialized expertise in a clinical area
  • Experience serving a particular population or presenting concern
  • Interest in contributing to the growth and culture of a developing practice
  • A clear vision for the type of clinician you hope to become

If you’re looking for a place where your clinical judgment is respected, your growth is supported, and your work can evolve alongside a growing practice, we’d love to hear from you.

To apply, please submit your resume and a brief introduction describing your clinical interests, specialties, and the type of practice you hope to build. Please also indicate whether you are applying for the in-person or virtual position and include the names, phone numbers, and email addresses of 2–3 professional references, including at least one clinical supervisor.

Applications may be submitted through LinkedIn or by emailing joinus@ventuscenter.com.
