What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waitstaff/Bartender position at The Venice Golf and Country Club?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare & serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to members
- Take member orders & provide recommendations based upon their preferences
- Maintain a clean & organized bar area
- Check identification of members to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption
- Ability to operate Jonas POS System
- Monitor & manage inventory of bar supplies & ingredients
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service & create a welcoming atmosphere
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems and cash register operation
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to handle food safely & follow proper food handling procedures
- Excellent sales skills to upsell & promote specials or new drinks
- Basic math skills
- Exceptional customer service skills to interact with members in a friendly & professional manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & handle high-volume periods, such as member events.
