Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Dispatch – Fire Control is to answer the phones and dispatch calls to the appropriate departments, as well as execute all maintenance request calls and fire control procedures.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. This is a safety-related position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Log department Team member call-ins.
- Prepare and keep Rolodex of all contractors and vendors used by Engineering.
- Answer and execute maintenance request calls.
- Dispatch fire control procedures.
- Safety is an essential function of this job.
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to handle up to 8 telephone lines; experience in using 2 way radios; strong telephone etiquette; excellent verbal skills; ability to handle multiple tasks; possess basic computer skills and data entry experience; organization skills; prior dispatching experience preferred.
- Have interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with hotel guests in a congenial and polite manner.
- Must be able to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Must be able to:
