What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandiser - Potato Chip Brand (Winco Foods) position at The Velocity Shop?
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Merchandiser to represent our snack brands inside WinCo Foods stores. This role ensures our chip displays look sharp, shelves are fully stocked, and product rotation and placement meet both brand and retailer standards. You’ll be the eyes and ears in the store keeping us connected to what’s really happening at shelf level.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit assigned WinCo locations daily to merchandise and maintain chip displays.
- Stock and rotate product to ensure freshness and proper shelf presentation.
- Build and maintain secondary displays (endcaps, off-shelf placements, shippers).
- Track inventory levels and communicate out-of-stocks or replenishment needs.
- Take and submit photos of sets and displays for internal reporting.
- Establish strong working relationships with store management and staff.
- Ensure planogram compliance and correct pricing/signage.
- Report competitive activity, pricing changes, or new product placements.
- Execute occasional reset projects or promotional builds.
Requirements
- Prior merchandising, retail, or grocery experience (preferred).
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
- Smartphone for photo documentation and communication.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong time-management and route-planning ability.
Schedule & Pay
- Schedule: Daily store visits (typically morning hours, 6-7 days/week).
- Pay: Competitive hourly rate mileage reimbursement.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
