We are seeking a highly technical and inspirational Cloud Engineering Manager to lead and elevate our Linux Cloud Compute Operations team. This role is ideal for a bar-raising leader who thrives in a DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) environment and is passionate about mentoring engineers and driving operational excellence across cloud and legacy infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Mentorship - Serve as a hands-on technical mentor, guiding engineers in areas such as Linux infrastructure, AWS compute services (ECS, EKS, EC2), and scripting. Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical excellence. Participate actively in incident and problem management processes. Infrastructure & Operations Management Oversee the health, performance, and scalability of AWS-hosted and legacy Linux environments. Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform and OpenTofu. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security compliance across platforms. Champion DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, observability, and proactive monitoring. Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and reliability. Partner with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure strategy with organizational goals. Required Qualifications Proven experience managing technical teams in a DevOps or SRE environment. Strong hands-on expertise in: AWS Compute Services: ECS, EKS, EC2 Linux Systems Administration Scripting: Bash, Python, or similar Version Control: GitHub Demonstrated ability to develop and inspire high-performing technical teams. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or higher certification Background in software development or scripting for automation.
