Assistant housekeeping manager

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our property. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cleaning operations, hospitality, and custodial management. This leadership role requires excellent organizational skills, a commitment to high standards of cleanliness, and the ability to manage a team of housekeeping staff effectively. The Housekeeping Manager will ensure that all areas meet safety, sanitation, and aesthetic standards, providing a clean and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.

Duties

• Supervise daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, floor care, and general maintenance.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to maintain high performance levels.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens, ensuring cost-effective usage.
• Coordinate with other departments such as maintenance and front desk to address guest needs promptly.
• Enforce health and safety regulations related to industrial cleaning, janitorial practices, and custodial procedures.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns related to cleanliness with professionalism and promptness.
• Maintain detailed records of housekeeping activities, staff schedules, and supply orders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cleaning operations within hospitality or industrial settings.
• Strong background in hotel experience, janitorial work, custodial services, or industrial cleaning is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in housekeeper management, floor care techniques, and overall housekeeping procedures.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and workplace safety standards.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
