Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Review patient records for completeness and accuracy prior to billing.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any discrepancies with insurance providers.
- Maintain detailed records of billing transactions and patient accounts.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance representatives regarding billing inquiries.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
- Assist in the development of billing policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical coding, including DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) knowledge.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to various specialties.
- Experience with medical collection processes and systems.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
