Job Description:Performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and
treatment of patients at UHS facilities. Meets all established key performance indicator (KPI) requirements.
Qualifications
Education: An associate degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, or degree in electronic engineering technology , or military/technical training, or equivalent work experience, or biomedical related certification.
Experience: 5 to 8 years of previous related experience. Healthcare experience preferred.
Technical Skills: Experience with healthcare technology management programs including leadership Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, capital planning, etc…)Understanding of regulatory requirements for medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC,State, Local).
Other: Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local).
License/Certification: Professional Certification preferred (CBET, CRES, CLES, CABT, CHTM, PMP, AWSCSAA, CISSP, CAN, MLT, CRCST and/or other professional certifications as deemed pertinent by the hiring director.
Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patient.
