VayKLife is looking for a skilled Welder to support the upkeep and repair of our trucks, trailers, and beach gear equipment. This role plays an important part in keeping our fleet and operational assets safe, reliable, and ready for daily delivery operations. The ideal candidate has strong welding and fabrication skills, works efficiently, and maintains a high standard of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Perform aluminum welding repairs on trucks, trailers, racks, carts, and other operational gear
Fabricate or reinforce metal components used throughout the warehouse and field
operations
Assist with the maintenance of short-term and long-term gear items as needed
Inspect welded parts for durability, structural integrity, and compliance with safety
standards
Support warehouse leadership with custom builds or repairs that improve operational efficiency
Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper storage and handling of tools
Follow all company safety protocols, PPE requirements, and repair documentation
processes
Communicate repair needs, timelines, and parts requirements with the warehouse
supervisor and operations team
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Technical school or trade certification in welding is preferred, but not required
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands on welding experience in a shop, fleet, fabrication,
or industrial environment
Previous experience as a welder or fabrication technician
Strong knowledge of MIG/TIG/Stick welding techniques on aluminum
Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs based on operational needs
Basic mechanical understanding of trucks, trailers, and metal structures
Ability to read and interpret simple drawings or repair instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a warehouse or outdoor environment
Welding certification (optional but preferred)
Experience working in fleet maintenance, fabrication shops, or logistics environments
