Under general supervision, formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepares detailed specifications of component level requirements that are fully traceable to system level requirements.
- Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary, to understand basic root-cause of issues and propose possible solutions within current systems.
- Researches and fact-finds to formulate and define systems scope and objectives, as well as modify moderately complex information systems.
- Provides technical support and troubleshooting to end-users.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis activities, but requires instruction and guidance in other phases.
- Strong problem-solving and business analysis skills.
- An understanding of software development lifecycle.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and to receive work direction from direct and indirect leadership.
- Proficiency using CASE tools for designing and implementing applications.
- Experience working in an environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience in systems analysis/programming activities in a business environment is required.
