What You’ll Do

• Write Impactful Stories: Produce high-quality content quickly and accurately across various topics.
• Cover Breaking News: Be on the front lines of major stories and ensure timely reporting.
• Work Across Teams: Collaborate with the visuals departments to create multimedia-rich content.
• Conduct Interviews: Engage with key figures to gather insights and enrich stories.
• Maximize Traffic: Use your understanding of analytics to spot trending stories that resonate with our audience.
• Assist New Editors: Senior news reporters work with editors on pitching new stories and work with other general news reporters to develop their work.

Who You Are

• Experienced Reporter: At least 3-5 years of journalism experience and a background in digital news and breaking stories.
• Skilled Writer: You can write concisely and engagingly, ensuring every story captures the reader's attention.
• Tech-Savvy: Familiar with WordPress or similar platforms and comfortable working with analytics tools.
• Social Media Savvy: You can spot trending stories and use social media to amplify your content.
• Legal Knowledge: Understands the legal aspects of digital journalism, including copyright and defamation laws.

Shifts & Schedule

• Core Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Weekend Shifts: Occasional weekend and evening work is required, with remote options available.
