Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming treatments.
- Utilize proper animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of pets during grooming sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming.
- Provide excellent customer service to build rapport with clients and encourage repeat business.
- Stay updated on grooming techniques, trends, and best practices in pet care.
Requirements
- 3 years proven experience in pet grooming is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pet care practices and animal restraint techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to handle various breeds of dogs with patience and care. This will include Large and XL breeds as well.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends.
This position is commission based at 50% commission and will require a working interview with at least two dogs before hiring. There is also a yearly bonus based on performance calculated with 1% of your yearly sales.
