Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Assist customers with product demos, explaining features and benefits of various shipping supplies, printing services, and retail merchandise
- Upsell additional products or services to meet customer needs and maximize store sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to attract customer attention
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and assisting with inventory replenishment
- Handle phone inquiries professionally using proper phone etiquette and direct calls as needed
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience preferred, especially in a grocery store or similar fast-paced environment
- Supervising experience is a plus—demonstrating leadership in guiding team members or training new staff
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math is essential
- Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members
- Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, stocking, and cashiering will set you apart
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a lively retail setting
